Delaney was said to be interesting both West Ham United and Crystal Palace, among others.

Any hopes West Ham United or Crystal Palace may have had of signing Thomas Delaney this summer have been ended by Borussia Dortmund.
The then Werder Bremen midfielder was linked with moves to both Premier League clubs, along with Palace’s fierce rivals Brighton and Hove Albion, within the past month.
The Daily Mirror reported that West Ham had entered the race for Delaney, who the Sun on Sunday later claimed was being scouted by their fellow Londoners.
But it is at Dortmund that the Denmark star will spend his immediate future, after the Bundesliga giants paid a fee rumoured by ESPN to be worth €20 million – around £1 million more than the £16.5 million asking price previously quoted by the English press.

West Ham have experienced a change of manager since reports of their interest surfaced, and are said to have more high profile midfield targets – Nice’s Jean Michael Seri being the latest, according to the Sun – while Crystal Palace’s desire may be quelled by Yohan Cabaye’s new deal, which the Guardian claimed earlier this month was close to being signed.
There is no suggestion that either West Ham or Palace made official approaches for Delaney.
