Arsenal head towards the new Premier League seasons with fans still expecting attacking additions to be made in the coming weeks.
The Gunners are once again gearing up for another Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta’s men have fallen just short in the last two seasons with Manchester City just about getting the job done.
Arsenal need to strengthen this summer but only one major first-team addition has been made with David Raya’s loan move from Brentford being turned permanent.
Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori is set to arrive though with the Italian defender undergoing a medical ahead of a move.
Calafiori will add depth in defence but attacking additions may still be on the radar before the transfer window ends…

Leandro Trossard on Arsenal move
Arsenal did fancy signing RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko but saw him decide on staying in Germany.
Other forwards such as Viktor Gyokeres continue to be linked but it currently looks like Arsenal will head into the season with the same attacking options as last season.
That means Arteta will likely choose two from Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus to join Bukayo Saka in the final third.
Trossard ended the season strongly, scoring four times in his final six Premier League games.
The Belgian didn’t have the best campaign at Euro 2024 though and left Ally McCoist infuriated with his displays in Germany.
Trossard certainly has the trust of Arteta though and he has now opened up on his move to Arsenal back in January 2023.
Fans will remember that Arsenal wanted to sign Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk, only to see him end up with London rivals Chelsea instead.
Chelsea struck a deal worth up to £88million for Mudryk and it’s fair to say that he has yet to live up to that price tag at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal went in a completely different direction, striking a deal worth up to £27million for Trossard.
Trossard was Premier League-proven with Brighton and Hove Albion, offering an immediate impact at Arsenal rather than the raw yet exciting Mudryk.
The 29-year-old has been a solid signing for Arsenal, notching 18 goals and 12 assists in his 68 appearances for the club.
Trossard has now told the Daily Mail that he was well aware of Arsenal’s interest in Mudryk, but they did a great job of making him feel wanted.
Trossard admitted a ‘good chat’ with Arteta and it all just fell into place, with the Belgian not really feeling like a consolation prize after the Mudryk saga.
Trossard noted that he settled in ‘straight away’ and loves the ‘really good vibe’ around Arsenal.
“I didn’t think about what was going on before me,” said Trossard. “They (Arsenal) made it very clear to me that they wanted me after the thing with Mudryk and yeah, I was happy to join. I had a good chat with Mikel. He gave me the plan about how it would go, and it just started to click straight away.”
“Not just with my performances on the pitch but off the pitch as well, I think there’s a really good vibe. Players are amazing off the pitch, how they welcome you, so it came straight away,” he added.
Whether he is playing on the left or through the middle, Trossard seems to make an impact for Arsenal.
The Gunners certainly won’t be ruing missing out on Mudryk now, with Trossard proving to be great value for money – something Chelsea can’t yet say about their investment.
