Can Trossard play for Arsenal against Manchester United? Many people have asked on Google after the Gunners announced the Belgian’s arrival.
Arsenal agreed a £27m fee with Brighton for the 28-year-old after he fell out with Roberto De Zerbi.
The Belgium international has now signed what the club’s official website describe as a long-term contract, with Fabrizio Romano detailing that the forward’s deal will run until June 2026.
So, can Trossard play against Manchester United on Sunday? Let’s take a look…
Trossard eligibility to play for Arsenal against United
Well, Arsenal had to register Trossard before 12pm on Friday in order for him to be eligible to face Manchester United on Sunday.
Despite officially announcing the deal at 15:35pm on Friday, it sounds as if the Gunners managed to get the paperwork over the line before 12pm.
Charlie Parker-Turner of the Daily Express claims Josy Comhair – Trossard’s agent – told him that all the necessary paperwork was submitted to the Premier League before the 12pm deadline.
That means Arsenal’s new No.19 is allowed to play against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
It remains to be seen if Trossard will be thrust straight into the starting XI against Erik ten Hag’s side.
However, we highly doubt Mikel Arteta will make such a bold decision, especially in what is a huge game.

A win for Manchester United would take them to within five points of Arsenal, while it would also enable Manchester City to trim their current five point deficit if they can beat Wolves.
Having said that, Arsenal do have a game in hand over both of the Manchester sides.
