‘It’s Southgate time’: Some Arsenal fans react to Tottenham managerial rumour

Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to Ajax boss, Eric ten Hag, signing a new contract after being linked with Tottenham.

Throughout the season, it has been a bit of a problematic time in North London, with both Arsenal and Spurs struggling in the Premier League.

Arsenal may just save themselves by winning the Europa, but even that’s a pretty difficult task, whilst their neighbours parted ways with Jose Mourinho after an up and down season.

Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, shared that Spurs took a step back in their talks with Ten Hag after finding out that he was about to extend his deal at Ajax.

Many names have been linked to that job from Leicester City’s Champions League-chasing boss, Brendan Rodgers.

To England boss Gareth Southgate, who last managed Middlesbrough on the domestic circuit and was relegated with them.

Arsenal fans may have been slightly cheered up by the goings-on at Spurs, but they aren’t in a comfortable situation themselves.

Come the summer, if Spurs haven’t added a new name to their dugout, then they may just be fishing in the same managerial pond as their rivals.

Mikel Arteta may still be in a job now, but if Arsenal finish the season without a trophy and in mid-table then someone else in North London may well be collecting their p45.
