Well, Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking about Conor Gallagher, and the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has made it clear that he is a fan.

Chelsea assistant head coach Jesus Perez has also said that he loves Gallagher.

When asked about Gallagher saying that he loves playing for Pochettino, the Chelsea boss said, as quoted in Football.London: “I want to clarify this because some coaching staff get jealous. 

“When he says Poch, he means the whole coaching staff and the club. He loves to play for the club, he loves to play for this coaching staff.

“He made this reference to Poch because it’s easy to say, but not to play for Jesus, Toni, Miguel, Sebastiano, for many of the staff at the club.”

Pochettino then asked Perez: “Well Jesus is here. Jesus, do you love him?”

Perez replied: “I do.”

As HITC revealed last month, Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea, but the Blues have not offered him a new contract.

Sources have told HITC that Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and West Ham United are keen on him, and Chelsea could sell him in the summer transfer window if talks over a new contract do not yield any positive results given that his current deal runs out in the summer of 2025.

HITC understands that Gallagher, who has scored two goals and given four assists in 24 Premier League matches this season, wants to stay at Chelsea.

My View: Chelsea have to keep Conor Gallagher

In my opinion, Chelsea have to keep Conor Gallagher for next season and beyond. I think that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have to tie down the midfielder to a new contract.

Gallagher has been one of the best players for Chelsea this season. With players around him struggling and the team not doing well as a whole, the midfielder has been a shining light.

The midfielder is very dynamic, works hard, imposes himself in the middle of the park and can also push the team forward.

Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino uses Gallagher regularly, and that shows how highly he rates him. Even rival players have been impressed by him.
