Liverpool will have their sights set on pushing for the Premier League title again when the new season begins in August.

Yes, the stability of Jurgen Klopp is out of the door, but the squad proved last season what it can do, even with a host of injuries to key players.

The 2024 summer transfer market is going to be very crucial for Arne Slot to show what he is all about and prove that he has a very good eye for talent.

One area the Reds are probably looking towards is Euro 2024, with the group stages over and the knockout rounds to begin at the weekend.

On Wednesday, Cristiano Ronaldo started as his Portugal side were beaten 2-0 by surprise packages Georgia.

Napoli superstar Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring for his team and he even managed to get the legendary figure’s shirt after the game.

Sources have told HITC that Liverpool, alongside Premier League rivals Manchester City and Arsenal, want to sign the all-action winger.

Roy Keane loved watching the player in action and stated that Georgia have some ‘very good’ attacking players at their disposal.

That was Kvaratskhelia’s first goal of Euro 2024 and what a time to get it because his team are now in the knockout rounds for the first time.

Gary Neville added by labelling the 23-year-old as ‘devastating’ and how he was ‘emphatic’ with his finish and goal, as he told ITV Sport.

“This boy was always going to be a threat in that left channel,” said Neville. “He’s devastating in there. Once he gets in there, you really fancy him.

“But it’s a brilliant finish. Emphatic, the way he drives it across the goalkeeper and then, from that moment, it gave Georgia a real chance because they were defensively really strong.”

Keane added: “Brilliant, if you are going to play on the counter-attack, you need quality and people running. That’s what they had and a dream start. That bit of quality they lacked over the years. They don’t now. They have some very good attacking players.”

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s future at Napoli

It’s pretty clear, the player wants to leave and his agent had made it public.

But Napoli are taking no prisoners because they have made it clear that Kvaratskhelia won’t be going anywhere after they appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager.

Kvaratskhelia will always be remembered for ending Napoli’s 30-year wait to become champions of Italy, but his recent actions might now result in fans turning against him.

Whilst he proved that title-winning campaign, their recent season, which saw them miss out on Europe altogether, was one to be forgotten about.
