Everton have been told the price they will have to pay if they want to sign a talented midfielder who shone at the 2024 Copa America.
Sean Dyche’s Everton have been busy in the summer window with the Toffees looking to steer clear of the relegation places after they came dangerously close to dropping down to the second tier of English football last season.
Everton have signed Aston Villa’s Tim Iroegbunam this summer and have also added Leeds United winger Jack Harrison to the club’s options.
Amadou Onana has departed Everton for Aston Villa which is seen as a big blow due to the Belgian’s performances at Goodison Park.
It appears the club could be keen on a South American midfielder as a replacement.

Everton told Richard Rios price
Colombian midfielder Richard Rios has made quite the impact in South America which has naturally led to talk of interest from the Premier League.
Rios has been linked with moves all over Europe this summer after impressing at the Copa América, where he was a key player in Colombia’s run to the final, where they were eventually beaten 1-0 by Argentina.
Alongside Everton, Leicester City are also said to be interested in the Colombian midfielder and the two Premier League sides have been told a price.
Palmeiras have now named their price according to Andrade.
“There is no information about Richard Rios, who was the main player of Colombia in the Copa América,” he told UOL.
“Palmeiras stipulates about €15m to negotiate for him. There are two English clubs at least above Richard Rios, Leicester and Everton. Everton also has an interest in Arthur Melo, former Grêmio, former Juventus. He is leaning on Juventus with Thiago Motta now.
“But for now, Palmeiras put €15m as the minimum value to negotiate Richard Rios. But the idea is to hold to try to sell only at the end of the year, because he is valued. To reiterate, Palmeiras has 70% of the rights, then 14% for Guarani, 6% Flamengo and 10% for the player.”
Rios praised for his performances at Copa America with Colombia
Palmeiras are said to be demanding £12.7 million for the Colombian midfielder Rios to depart the club.
Rios would join Willian Estevao and Luis Guilherme in departing the South American club this summer, although Estevao will have to wait until next year before joining Chelsea.
Rios was praised for his performances during Copa America as Colombia reached the final but suffered defeat to Argentina.
CBS Sports singled out Rios as one of the four standouts in the tournament and they said of the 24-year-old: “A defensive-minded midfielder with range, Richard Rios was everywhere for Colombia during Copa America.”
