Monza CEO Adriano Galliani has ruled out a departure for Inter Milan loanee Valentin Carboni amid claims that West Ham United are offering £11 million to bring the Serie A starlet to the Premier League.

With Maxwel Cornet potentially on his way to Nottingham Forest, and with Said Benrahma also of interest to a number of clubs, West Ham United may find themselves in the market for another attacker before the window closes this week.

The Hammers appear to be barking up the wrong tree in pursuit of Valentin Carboni, however.

Italian agent Massimo Brambati claimed last week, in conversation with Tuttomercatoweb, that West Ham had come forward with a bid in the region of £11 million for a teenager who has represented Italy and Argentina at youth level.

West Ham reportedly make £11m Valentin Carboni bid

Carboni is on loan at Monza from Serie A leaders Inter Milan.

But, as far as the highly-experienced Galliani is concerned, the 18-year-old will be sticking around until his temporary contract comes to an end in the summer, a mid-season departure ruled out.

“Absolutely, (Carboni will stay at Monza), yes,” Galliani, the former Milan chief, tells FC Inter News

Even if a departure was on the cards, £11 million would not even buy his weaker foot. Inter reportedly value the talented attacker – who has two goals and three assists in Serie A this season – at double West Ham’s alleged offer, closer to £22 million

HITC Football understands that David Moyes’ side could have a decision to make about the aforementioned Benrahma this week. Everton, Marseille and a number of Saudi Arabian sides are showing an interest.

Crystal Palace linked with Juventus ace

Brambati, meanwhile, is also fuelling reports of a £30 million, club-record bid from Crystal Palace for Juventus starlet Matias Soule.

Soule, like fellow Argentine Carboni, is thriving elsewhere in Serie A. he’s scored nine goals on loan at Frosinone.

“The truth is, an agent friend of mine was in Riyadh for lunch with (Inter Milan director Piero) Ausilio,” Brambati explains.

“I know that West Ham bid £11 million for Carboni, who is at Monza. For Soule, an offer arrived from Crystal Palace and Juve said no.”
