Pundit Kevin Campbell has said that Arsenal centre-back William Saliba is miles ahead of Ben White already.
Since the Frenchman’s arrival, the England international has been shifted to right-back, where he has thrived throughout the season. However, the former Saint Etienne defender has been in the reckoning for being the standout defender in the Premier League this campaign.
But pundit Kevin Campbell seems to wholeheartedly believe that as brilliant as Ben White has been for Arsenal since joining the club last summer, William Saliba is already better.

The 21-year-old has been praised by a number of pundits for his commanding showings since returning from his loan stint at Marseille, such as Sebastien Bassong, Alan Smith, Martin Keown and Ian Wright to name a few big names.
Speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, pundit Kevin Campbell said that Arsenal wonderkid William Saliba is a much more superior central defender to Ben White.
“If you remember last season, we saw Ben White doing the cleaning up, Gabriel was the aggressor and now, Saliba is a level above. No disrespect to Ben White but Saliba has the size, the speed and his reading of the game. Ben White has proven himself to be a flexible all-round defender now.”
“The key to it is that if you’re playing in such a successful team, be it at centre-back or right-back, I think Ben White has done a superb job and I think he realises that he can do what he wants to do because Saliba will cover him. If you remember last season, teams tried to play on Ben White for his physicality.”
“White can get stuck in but he’s not as physical as Saliba.”
