Sebastien Bassong has raved about Arsenal central defender William Saliba on BBC Radio 5 Live (8:19pm, March 13, 2023).
The former Tottenham Hotspur defender believes that Arsenal star Saliba has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season.
Bassong has noted the attributes of the 21-year-old France international defender.
The former Cameroon international believes that Saliba has completed changed how Arsenal are at the back.

Bassong said about Saliba: “When I look at Saliba, I do not know how many games he has missed, he has been so regular, whether it’s the Europa League, he plays, he scores goals, same as Gabriel, but I think when I look at Saliba, the stature, the calmness, the composure, the calmness that he has brought. You are not even worried no more. You can bring anybody against Saliba and the whole Arsenal defence.”

In our view, William Saliba is one of the best young central defenders in the Premier League and has been superb for Arsenal so far this season.
The 21-year-old has been so good right from the start that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been forced to use Ben White at right-back.
White is a central defender by trade.
Saliba and Gabriel have formed a formidable partnership at the back for Arsenal.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and given one assist in 27 Premier League appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
The centre-back has scored one goal in three UEFA Europa League games for the Gunners so far this campaign.
