Rio Ferdinand has said on his YouTube channel that he thinks that former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Manchester United defender has said that he would put his money on Tuchel ending up at Tottenham.

The 49-year-old German boss is without a managerial job at the moment following his departure from Chelsea earlier this season.

Conte is now in charge of Tottenham, but there is speculation on the future of the former Chelsea boss.

Tottenham have reportedly already made contact with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino over a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the summer of 2023 if Conte decides to leave.

Thomas Tuchel tipped to end up at Tottenham Hotspur

Ferdinand said, as transcribed by TBR: “Spurs. I’d put money on Spurs. I’d put money on Spurs right now. If Tuchel ends up at Spurs, I would not be surprised.”

Could it happen?

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could find it extremely hard to tempt Thomas Tuchel into a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tuchel is an elite manager who has worked at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

PSG and Chelsea are two of the biggest and most ambitious who regularly major trophies.

Tuchel won Ligue 1 with PSG and took them to a UEFA Champions League final.

The German then won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea.

The level of investment that PSG and Chelsea put in their squad on a regular basis is much, much higher than that at Tottenham.

Tottenham’s main objective is to finish in the Premier League top four and play in the UEFA Champions League.

We do not think that Tuchel will settle for that at any club.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have received some worrying news in their quest for AS Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

There are reports in the Italian media claiming that the 23-year-old Italy international playmaker prefers to stay in Serie A.

Tottenham are interested in Zaniolo, according to 90min, while journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that defending Serie A champions AC Milan want to sign him.

Italian journalist Daniele Longo has reported on Twitter, as translated from Italian: “#Zaniolo wants to stay in Italy and prefers #Milan to all English destinations.”
