Mauricio Pochettino could return to Tottenham Hotspur amid claims that ‘direct talks’ have started over a potential return to North London.
Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Sunday that he can claim ‘with certainty’ that Antonio Conte will be leaving Tottenham this summer.
The feeling is that Conte won’t be signing a new contract and Tottenham will soon need to look for a new manager once again.
The Mirror report that Pochettino is now keen on a return to Tottenham and that Conte has no interest in extending his contract at Spurs.
Pochettino allegedly has a ‘good relationship’ with Daniel Levy despite parting ways in 2019 and a return could be on the cards.
Tuttomercatoweb even suggest that direct talks have started between Tottenham and Pochettino as they seek to line up Pochettino as a replacement for Conte.
Pochettino may feel that he has unfinished business at Tottenham and the prospect of returning to North London is growing stronger.

When do Tottenham make their move for Mauricio Pochettino?
Conte may well leave but now Tottenham face a tricky situation; just when do they make a change?
There is now a feeling that Tottenham may waste the next few months with a manager who has no plans of being in charge next season.
Tottenham’s top four hopes are hanging by a thread and they can’t afford to waste time with a manager who doesn’t want to be there.
That may be a little harsh, especially as Conte has been going through the passing of three close friends this season, which is a horrible situation for anybody, but Tottenham face a big decision.
Do they allow Conte to see out the season and then move for Pochettino, or consider making a change now and give Pochettino a head start on the summer window?
This is a really tricky situation for Tottenham and whilst Pochettino would be an appointment to unite most fans, Daniel Levy and co must consider whether to stick or twist amid claims Conte will be leaving in a few months.
