Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter as Shakhtar Donetsk posted footage of Mykhaylo Mudryk on their official Instagram account.

What’s the story?

Well, the Ukraine international has travelled to Turkey with the Shakhtar Donetsk squad for a training camp despite intense speculation surrounding his future.

Foot Mercato believe Mudryk is close to joining Arsenal, with ESPN’s Jorge Baravalle – the man who revealed Willian would be having his contract terminated in 2021 – claimed that it is now a done deal.

After these strong rumours emerged, Shakhtar Donetsk posted a video of the 22-year-old alongside their Director of Football Darijo Srna at the Turkish training camp.

A number of Arsenal fans have commented on the footage, stating that it “looks like a goodbye” as Mudryk doesn’t exactly appear to be overly happy, so he may well be saying farewell on an emotional afternoon.

Another supporter stated that the Shakhtar Donetsk No.10 “looks devastated” to be there – he may well be.

Mudryk has already revealed that he would be “upset” if he didn’t get a move in January, while Fabrizio Romano is claiming that the rapid winger has given Mikel Arteta his word that he will join.

The Ukrainian wonderkid certainly seems to have his heart set on a move to the Emirates Stadium, so it wouldn’t surprise us if he is a bit down about having to travel to Turkey with Shakhtar Donetsk.

Arsenal fans talking about Mudryk

There were more comments from Arsenal fans about the interesting exchange between Mudryk and Srna.

It was definitely an odd video for Shakhtar Donetsk to post amid the intense speculation.

Mudryk doesn’t look very happy, while Srna is seemingly attempting to have a close chat with the wonderkid as he warmly puts a hand on his shoulder, before the winger simply walks away.
