Arsenal are keen to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk as a result of his stunning performances for Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 21-year-old has put his name up in lights after scoring eight goals and providing eight assists in 16 appearances so far this season, including five goal involvements in six Champions League outings.

According to Calciomercato, Mudryk’s form has enticed Arsenal to make a £53m bid for his services, with the Gunners awaiting a response from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Now, the Ukraine international has spoken to Vlada Zinchenko – the wife of Oleksandr Zinchenko – about his future.

Arsenal given Mudryk boost

Well, Mudryk admitted that he would enjoy playing ahead of Zinchenko on the left flank at the Emirates Stadium, while also claiming he would prefer to start for Arsenal than be a squad player at Real Madrid.

The Shakhtar Donetsk No.10 also said that he would be “upset” if he didn’t leave the Ukrainian giants in January.

Mudryk said: “It’s not about the badge or the history. The team’s style of play will play a role in my decision, it’s very important. Yes, I’d be upset if I don’t get a move in the winter.”

With these comments coming just days after talk of Arsenal submitting a bid, there must be something happening.

Mudryk could fire Arsenal to Premier League title

In our view, the signing of Mudryk could be the difference between first and second place in the Premier League.
