According to Jorge Nicola, Edu has a strong relationship with the agent of Arsenal and Tottenham target Endrick.

Arsenal have advantage over Tottenham in Endrick race

Well, this is good news for the Gunners.

Nicola believes Edu – Director of Football at the Emirates Stadium – has good relations with one of the 16-year-old’s representatives, which could give Arsenal an advantage over their competition for the teenager.

It comes after Nicola revealed that Arsenal and Tottenham are keen to sign the Brazilian wonderkid, while it was BBC Sport who claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City and Southampton are monitoring his displays.

According to Mundo Deportivo, those keen to sign Endrick will have to pay €70m (£62m).

The Palmeiras No.16 – who Marca believe is also wanted by Real Madrid – looks set to follow in the footsteps of Pele and Neymar after bursting onto the scene in Brazilian football.

Endrick has scored six goals in just nine appearances so far this season, while he also netted an outstanding bicycle kick back in January which led Gary Lineker to describe him as a “special talent”.

Arsenal must beat Tottenham & others to Endrick

If Edu can use his contacts in Brazilian football to give Arsenal a realistic shot at Endrick, then the Gunners have to take advantage of it.

At the age of just 16, the South American prodigy already looks set to become one of the best forwards on the planet when he fulfils his potential.

Of course, £62m is a lot of money, but if you offered Arsenal fans the chance to sign a 16-year-old Kylian Mbappe or a 16-year-old Erling Haaland for that sum, most would do it.

In Mikel Arteta, Arsenal also have a coach capable of extracting the most from Endrick and his immense talent, just like the Spaniard has with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Keep an eye on this situation, as Endrick looks set to be the next big prospect to emerge from South America.
