According to Marca, Real Madrid are confident about beating Arsenal and Tottenham to the signing of Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick.

It was said that Spurs are lining up a bid for the Brazil Under-17 international, who has a €60m (£54m) release clause, whereas Arsenal are believed to be monitoring his situation as well.

However, the north Londoners could now lose out to Real Madrid.

Why Real Madrid are confident in battle with Arsenal & Tottenham

Well, the Spanish giants are no strangers to plucking the best young talent from Brazilian football.

Real Madrid spent £39.6m to sign Vinicius Junior when he was just 16 years of age, and also parted with £40m to bring Rodrygo Goes to the Santiago Bernabeu when he was 17.

Both have thrived in Spain, and now, Los Blancos are lining Endrick up as their next big addition from South America.

Marca believe Real Madrid are confident of signing the 16-year-old as he shares an agent with Vinicius Junior.

It is also said that the Spanish champions are calm about signing Endrick as they know other moves for him – including one from Barcelona – have not been productive.

The 16-year-old has impressively scored six goals in just seven Copinha appearances this term.

To shine so brightly in Under-20 football at the age of just 16 speaks volumes – we can certainly see why Gary Lineker once called him a “special” footballer.

Real Madrid, Arsenal & Tottenham must wait for Endrick

While they are allowed to monitor Endrick at the moment, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Tottenham will not be able to sign the Brazilian wonderkid until the summer of 2024.

The Palmeiras No.16 must turn 18 before he is eligible to complete a move to Europe, which gives Arsenal and Tottenham some time to claw back ground in this transfer battle against Real Madrid.

Regardless of who wins the race for his signature, there is no denying that Endrick looks capable of becoming the next prodigy to emerge from Brazilian football.
