Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after a supporter posted footage of Pape Sarr in action, amid reports he’s close to joining.

What’s the story?

Well, the 18-year-old is said to have agreed a long-term contract with Spurs, ahead of a €17m (£14.6m) move from Metz.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Sarr will even be at Sunday’s game against Watford, after Daniel Levy spoke to him.

Now, fans have been able to get a sight of the teenage wonderkid, and it’s safe to say they like what they see.

One fan said that Sarr reminded them of Yaya Toure. Another wrote that the 2-cap Senegal international is like version two of Paul Pogba.

In the montage, the midfielder can be seen scoring some outrageous long-range goals, while also pulling off a few incredible passes.

Sarr appears to have many strings to his bow, as his more combative side can also be seen when he lunges into tackles.

How has nobody challenged Tottenham for Pape Sarr?

In our view, we can’t believe no other clubs are rivalling Tottenham for Sarr – he’s a genuine star of the future.

For just £14.6m, we have no idea why other clubs are allowing Spurs to have a free run at this deal.

As part of the transfer, Tottenham will loan Sarr back to Metz for the 2021/22 season, something we don’t agree with.

Yes, he may be young, but the teenager looks tailor-made for the Premier League.

With Tanguy Ndombele keen to leave, Giovani Lo Celso unable to stay fit, and the future of Harry Winks uncertain, Sarr surely would’ve got some game time.

Nevertheless, let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about the footage of their latest incoming…
