Kaveh Solhekol has told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (24/08/21 at 5:15 pm) that he has been told Pape Matar Sarr will be at Tottenham’s game against Watford on Sunday.
The Sky reporter added that Daniel Levy ‘sold Spurs so well’ to the highly-rated Metz teenager.
If Sarr does become a Tottenham player then the 18-year-old is one to look out for in the future, with his confident style, aggressive nature and squash-buckling ways.
It seems as though Sarr will pen down a contract with Spurs, be sent back to Metz on loan, before possibly trying to become a Tottenham regular next season.
Either way, it seems as though the North London club have paid around £14.5 million for Sarr’s talents, and if all goes well, that might be doubled, as Sky journalist, Solhekol has reported.
“This has been agreed,” Solhekol. “We spoke to somebody involved in the deal. He told us the state of play is this ‘the deal has been agreed, Pape Matar Sarr will be joining Tottenham’.
“The fee is 17m Euros. It could potentially rise to more than double that, depending on what type of player he turns out to be.
“The player is having his medical. All being well. He will be at Tottenham’s game at Watford on Sunday.
“The first meeting was with Spurs and Daniel Levy. We have been told that the meeting went so well that a deal was agreed there and then. Levy was so impressive, he sold Spurs so well. The player himself wants to sign for Spurs.”

Tottenham will host Watford on Sunday, so it will be interesting to see if the club can get a deal over the line and introduce Sarr to his new home.
But this is where the difficult road to the top will now start for Sarr because there will be a lot of limelight on his talents now.
This could either prove to be a big mistake by Spurs or a seriously shrewd piece of business.
If Sarr’s stock continues to rise in Ligue 1 then the rumoured money Tottenham are putting on the table for him will seem like a bargain.
