Yesterday, Crystal Palace announced that John Textor would be joining Steve Parish, Josh Harris and David Blitzer on the board of directors.
According to the Guardian, the American businessman has invested £87.5m of his personal wealth into the club.
Interestingly, amid a flurry of welcome messages, Textor liked a tweet asking him to buy Noni Madueke, a target for the club.
Crystal Palace want Noni Madueke
According to the Evening Standard, the south Londoners have enquired about the PSV Eindhoven forward, who has a £20m price tag.
Madueke – who Tottenham also want – has started the season on fire with four goals and an assist in five games.
As a result, one Crystal Palace fan told Textor that Madueke is ‘who we want’ as a fanbase, a tweet which the businessman liked.
Will Crystal Palace sign Noni Madueke?

With each passing game, it’ll become increasingly harder to sign the 19-year-old if he keeps up this kind of form.
Arsenal are also keen, which makes Crystal Palace’s chances even slimmer.
However, the Eagles might have a slim advantage.

Madueke used to play in Crystal Palace’s academy, and admitted that he still appreciates what the club did for him at a stage when he was somewhat lost in football.
If Textor wants to make himself an instant hero in SE25, he’ll get his chequebook out and bring the London-born winger home.
