With the scoreline currently tied at 2-2 between Arsenal and Sporting CP after the 1st leg, we have tried to call the hosts’ predicted lineup at the Emirates Stadium.

Considering Mikel Arteta is set to prioritize the Premier League instead of the Europa League for the time being, we expect him to make as many as 9 changes to his side.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Sporting CP

The first change is expected to be made in goal, with second-choice goalkeeper Matt Turner replacing Aaron Ramsdale in against the Portuguese opponents.

At right-back, Ben White, who started against Fulham could be displaced by Takehiro Tomiyasu.

In the same vein, the ‘fantastic’ William Saliba could make way for Rob Holding on Thursday night.

However, Gabriel Magalhaes could likely start once again in our Arsenal predicted lineup against Sporting CP to provide that much-needed solidity and quality at the back.

At left-back, Oleksandr Zinchenko could also be rested, with Kieran Tierney, who Ben Jacobs has linked with a summer switch to Newcastle United via Caught Offside getting a rare start.

Another regular starter in Thomas Partey could also be afforded a breather against Ruben Amorim’s side, with the dependable Jorginho playing instead.

As was the case with Gabriel, Granit Xhaka could also play in our Arsenal predicted lineup to offer that much-needed composure on a tricky European night against Sporting CP.

Perhaps the headline change could come in the form of ‘gamechanger’ Emile Smith-Rowe starting his first game in 2023, and that too in central midfield.

At right wing, Fabio Vieira could also be given a rare chance to showcase his talents, as he has played much less frequently than initially expected.

The ‘excellent’ Leandro Trossard may be in line for yet another start against Sporting CP in the No.9 position, where he has thrived off late.

While on the left flank, Reiss Nelson could be handed an opportunity from the off.
