Arsenal are now said to be interested in signing Eduardo Camavinga on loan from Real Madrid as Mikel Arteta targets more reinforcements.

The Spaniard has already signed Leandro Trossard from Brighton, and is closing in on a deal for Jakub Kiwior from Spezia as he aims to keep momentum going in the Premier League title race.

Now, the Gunners want Camavinga – according to the Evening Standard – and a photo posted by the France international back in March 2020 certainly adds fuel to the fire.

What’s the story?

Well, the 20-year-old posted a picture of himself playing FIFA alongside his brother at home, where a poster can be seen on the wall with the word Arsenal, as well as the famous cannon.

It was seemingly to commemorate a victory over the Gunners from back in March 2019, when Rennes defeated Arsenal 3-1 in the Europa League.

Nevertheless, the French side recorded impressive scalps over a number of big sides before Camavinga departed for Real Madrid in a £34m deal, so it is certainly interesting to see that only Arsenal have made their way onto his bedroom wall.

As a result, it could be presumed that the Frenchman supports Arsenal, or is at least fond of the Gunners and wants to remember his encounter with them.

Arsenal must attempt Ødegaard style deal with Camavinga

In our view, if there is even a slight chance of signing Camavinga, Arsenal have to take it.

As seen in the rise of Martin Ødegaard, some talents just need a fresh environment, and Camavinga is no different having only started five games in La Liga so far this season.

Arsenal must attempt to convince the Real Madrid No.12 that a move to the Emirates Stadium would benefit him, and then hopefully a permanent deal in the summer takes care of itself, like the move for Ødegaard did.

If Arsenal could pair Camavinga with the Norway international, and also bring someone like Declan Rice to north London, the Gunners would become an even more frightening side than they are now.
