Yaya Toure has called Franck Kessie to convince him to move to Barcelona, according to Fabrizio Romano, amid reported interest from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported on Twitter that Barcelona have already started to prepare contracts to sign AC Milan midfielder Kessie on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
Barcelona head coach Xavi has called him, and so has former Barca midfielder Toure.
According to Sport in February, Tottenham have made an offer to Kessie, who is wanted by Newcastle as well, as per a report in La Reppublica last month.

It looks as though Tottenham and Newcastle will miss out on Kessie to Barcelona.
And we can understand why the 25-year-old central midfielder would pick Barcelona over the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham.
