Many people from around the world have shared their positive experiences while in the USA for the 2026 World Cup.

The tournament has brought fans from around the globe together to give them a taste of American culture, and many seem to be enjoying it.

Among them is German soccer fan Bastiand Matti, who has remained in the country long after his team were knocked out by Paraguay in the Round of 32.

Matti has now responded to a comment suggesting that he is a ‘paid influencer’ after sharing his positive experiences in the US.

German World Cup fan responds to suggestion he’s a paid influencer

Matti has praised the kindness of Americans while visiting for the World Cup and was even brought to tears during an interview with NBC last week.

Now, he has taken to X/Twitter after receiving a comment on social media about being a ‘paid influencer’.

After sharing the initial exchange from Instagram in a photo, he wrote in his tweet: “New conspiracy theory: If you say something nice about a place, you must be getting paid.

“Sorry to disappoint… I’ve never received a dime. I just share my real experiences.”

Matti is not the only soccer fan who has loved his time in the United States this summer.

Oliver Henry, from England, has blown up online for documenting his journey across the country.

Henry met Donald Trump as a result of his videos going viral and has even been given a tour of the West Wing of the White House.

Elsewhere, American food has received praise from soccer fans who made the trip over for the World Cup, with one traveller going as far as to say that it is ‘absolutely glorious’.
