Wolverhampton Wanderers make offer to former Tottenham target Julen Lopetegui
Marca have reported that Sevilla head coach Lopetegui has a proposal on the table from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves are on the hunt for a new manager following the dismissal of Bruno Lage due to a run of poor results in the Premier League.
Lopetegui was actually linked with a move to Wolves’ Premier League rivals Tottenham in the summer of 2021.
The former Real Madrid boss told Marca in June 2021 that he was happy at Sevilla despite interest from Tottenham.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Duncan Castles said on Transfer Window Podcast in the summer of 2021 that Tottenham were looking at Lopetegui as a potential managerial candidate.
And now it seems that Wolves want to hire the 56-year-old Spaniard.

Lopetegui is in charge of Sevilla at the moment, but the Spanish club are struggling in La Liga and in the UEFA Champions League at the moment.
There is speculation that the former FC Porto boss could be sacked.
Strong reputation
Lopetegui has a very good reputation in the footballing community, though.
After all, FC Porto, Spain, Madrid and Sevilla would not have hired him over the years if he were not good.
He won the UEFA Europa League with Sevilla in 2019-20.
