Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique says Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has a ‘winning mentality’ amid rumours that Everton wants to sign him on transfer deadline day.
Sean Dyche is in the Everton dugout after the sacking of Frank Lampard and it seems as though he wants Gallagher through the doors, but they aren’t the only ones.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool also emerged as a team wanting to sign the England international, as Enzo Fernandez’s possible British record transfer to Stamford Bridge could push Gallagher out of the doors.

Last season, the all-action midfielder spent a season at Crystal Palace, where he earned his first England cap, which then led to him going to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
But since returning to his parent club, the 22-year-old is in the middle of a stack of players looking for regular minutes under Graham Potter, and in truth, he probably won’t get as much, so it’s best that he leaves.
Nonetheless, following those Gallagher rumours, this is what Enrique posted in the comments section of Football Daily’s Instagram post regarding the midfielder’s links to Everton.
“Good player, like him a lot,” said Enrique. “Winning mentality and works really hard for the team.”

EVERTON NEED A GALLAGHER
The issue here is that other parties are interested in Gallagher and the player in question probably doesn’t want to be involved in a relegation fight.
But he’s exactly what the struggling Merseyside outfit needs.
That aggression, ability to press without the ball, win the ball high up the pitch and that habit to score a goal would be perfect for Dyche.
Everton fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that something can happen because their squad needs refreshing. and lifting up.
