West Ham United have walked away from a deal to sign Bayern Munich right-back Noussair Mazraoui this summer.

HITC had previously reported that Noussair Mazraoui would be allowed to leave Bayern Munich this summer with new manager Vincent Kompany not keen on the Moroccan.

Manchester United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur had expressed an interest in the full-back but it was the Hammers who stole a march on their rivals for the former Ajax defender.

However, sources have now told HITC that the Hammers have ended their interest in the Moroccan and have walked away from a potential deal this summer.

West Ham walk away from Mazraoui deal

West Ham United had a £15 million offer for the Moroccan accepted by Bayern Munich after he was told he could leave Bavaria this summer.

West Ham were hoping to add another defensive addition after the Hammers signed Wolves’ Max Kilman for £40 million and Mazraoui looked to be that exact player.

However, West Ham have now walked away from a deal because there was a belief from those in East London that the defender was not keen on the prospect of joining the club this summer.

The Moroccan’s representatives decided to walk away from talks with the Hammers after failing to reach agreeable terms on a move.

As mentioned, Tottenham and United, who are of course managed by Erik Ten Hag, a former manager of the Moroccan, are interested.

United’s stance on Mazraoui deal explained

As HITC reported, United are keen on improving their full-back options with there being some uncertainty over the fitness of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

United are understood to have confirmed their interest to Mazraoui’s camp about a potential move when they spoke to the player’s camp earlier this week, with the Moroccan able to play at left-back as well as right-back.

However, any potential deal to sign Mazraoui is fully dependent on Wan-Bissaka leaving Old Trafford, the Englishman has been at United since 2019.

As for Mazraoui, sources have confirmed to HITC that Juventus have held talks for the right-back but he is not seen as the club’s priority.
