Barcelona target Ruben Neves has been speaking to Canal11 about his future amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Interestingly, the Portugal international – who Wolves paid £15.8m for – admitted he would love to join Xavi at the Camp Nou, as speculation about his next move intensifies.

Arsenal & Liverpool target tempted by Barcelona

Well, it was Sport who revealed that Arsenal are planning to bid for Neves in 2023, while a separate story from the same outlet claimed that Liverpool want to sign the 25-year-old.

However, it seems Barcelona may have caught his eye.

As quoted by Sport, Neves said: “Who wouldn’t want to play at Barcelona? I think that’s a question any footballer would ask himself. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Of course, it’s always a privilege for me to be associated with clubs of this calibre.”

It comes after Sport claimed that the Wolves No.8 is not interested in linking up with Jürgen Klopp at Anfield.

So far this season, Neves has made scored two goals in 11 appearances for Wolves, and has also been given the captaincy after Conor Coady joined Everton on loan.

However, the Portuguese playmaker’s contract will have just 12 months remaining at the end of the season, so Wolves certainly have a decision to make.

Arsenal & Liverpool fighting a losing battle against Barcelona

By all account, Neves has his heart set on a move to Barcelona.

Sport have previously added that the midfield maestro was phoned by Xavi, who tried to convince him to join Barcelona, and it seemed to do the trick – the Spanish news outlet added that he ended the call keen on the move.

Sergio Busquets looks set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season, so there is a chance for Neves to be the heir to his throne.

Unless there is a surprise development, we believe Mikel Arteta and Klopp should start to look elsewhere.
