Earlier today, Arsenal fans continued to enjoy their side’s exquisite start to the season with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth, although they still found time to mock Manchester United.
What’s the story?
Well, Bournemouth were also jeered by the travelling Arsenal supporters, who began to chant about the Cherries suffering relegation to the Championship along with Manchester United.
As things stand, the Red Devils are bottom of the Premier League without a point to their name after two outings.
According to Charles Watt, the Arsenal fans chanted: “You’re going down with United”.
That wasn’t all that came from the away section of the Vitality Stadium.
Arsenal fans could be heard loudly serenading William Saliba with a new chant for the Frenchman, which seemed to do the trick as he rifled in a phenomenal left-footed effort into the top-right corner during the second half.
There were also songs in adoration of Mikel Arteta and Oleksandr Zinchenko – those who made the journey to the south coast certainly acted as a 12th man for their side today.
Arsenal showed ruthlessness against Bournemouth
In our view, Arsenal arguably showed title credentials with their convincing 3-0 win over Bournemouth.
There was a steely composure from everybody out there in pink, performing confidently in the type of game that has so often gone wrong for the Gunners in recent years when they’ve shown a soft side.
If Edu can find Arteta a new wide man to replace the outgoing Nicolas Pepe – the Ivorian is in talks to join OGC Nice on loan – then the Gunners could certainly be in for an exciting campaign.
There has been talk of a move for Villarreal wonderkid Yeremy Pino, who Arsenal have supposedly bid for.
There is also interest in Moussa Diaby, who has shone for Bayer Leverkusen in recent times.
