Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield on Sunday, and Micah Richards has made an interesting observation about Harvey Elliott.
Liverpool took on Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday. It finished in a 1-1 draw.
Harvey Elliott started the match for the Reds. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp deployed the 20-year-old on the right of a three-man attack in a 4-3-3 formation.
Elliott played for the entire 90 minutes. He was not at his creative best, but he worked hard and was always available when his team needed him.
Micah Richards praises Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott
Micah Richards was following the match for Sky Sports, and the former City player noticed how hard the 20-year-old was working.
The pundit has said that Liverpool fans who watch matches on TV would not always see how hard Elliott works for the teams.

Richard said about Elliott on The Rest is Football podcast: “Harvey Elliott, what a player he is! He works so hard for the team.
“You know, when you are watching the game on TV, you can always see like people’s positions and all that and the camera panning from one position to the other, but when you are at the game, you see exactly how hard he works. He is composed in possession and really worked hard for the team.”
My View: Harvey Elliott is a rising Liverpool star
In my opinion, Harvey Elliott is one of the best young players around and is a rising star at Liverpool.
Elliott is only 20, and the way he has progressed and developed under manager Jurgen Klopp is remarkable.
The England Under-21 international can make an impact as a substitute and is also able to affect games when he starts.
Of course, at 20, Elliott is not the finished article. When everyone is fit and available, the former Fulham youngster does not get into the Liverpool first team.
But, I have no doubt that Elliott has a lot of potential, and I think that he will become a superstar for Liverpool if he continues to develop and add facets to his game.
