England face a daunting trip to Mexico City as they continue their World Cup campaign.
A dramatic but unconvincing win over DR Congo has teed England up for a mouth-watering clash in the Mexican capital in the round of 16.
Harry Kane scored a brace as the Three Lions came from behind to beat DR Congo in Atlanta, while Mexico beat Ecuador in the last 32.
What would you do with Anthony Gordon against Mexico? Start or utilise him off the bench?
He changed the game for England with those assists 🔥
Now, England are heading to the Estadio Azteca for a huge clash.
Here’s a quick look at the weather forecast.
Relatively cool temperatures predicted for England vs Mexico
The weather might actually play into England’s hands here.
The temperature is forecast to be around 23 degrees Celsius on Sunday night, with a high chance of rain for almost all of the evening.
England have so often struggled in the searing heat at major tournaments but the conditions look relatively favourable heading into Sunday’s huge game with Mexico.
There is, however, the altitude to consider, and Kane has already addressed it.
Harry Kane admits altitude could be a problem for England
Indeed, the famous Azteca – known as the Mexico City Stadium during the World Cup due to FIFA branding reasons – stands 2,200 metres (roughly 7,200 feet) above sea level.
Heading into the game, Kane admits that the altitude in Mexico City could prove to be a problem for England.

Speaking after his brace against DR Congo, he said: “My understanding is we cannot adapt to the altitude. It’s a huge advantage Mexico have. There’s not enough time.
“We knew that before. It’s just a disadvantage with which we will have to deal. But we showed the attitude.”
Still, while that is obviously a factor to consider, one would imagine that England are favourites heading into the game.
Quite whether they have shown enough to be considered genuine contenders for the World Cup is up for debate but tournaments are about winning, not about playing particularly well.
A win in the Mexican capital would be a statement of intent from a team who have not passed the eye test yet, however.
