Canadian UFC fans get good news as PPV changes kick in
The latest development in the UFC’s deal with Paramount+ brings good news for fight fans in Canada.
Dana White confirmed the promotion’s blockbuster Paramount agreement last August, which saw the end of the pay-per-view era.
UFC events are already available in the United States through a single subscription, without any extra costs.
This wasn’t always the case elsewhere, but Canadian fans who raised concerns have now seen those issues addressed.

Paramount+ to broadcast every UFC numbered event in Canada from 2027
The UFC revealed on June 4 that its media rights agreement with Paramount+ will extend into Canada starting in 2027.
This six-year deal means Canadian viewers won’t have to pay extra for access to the promotion’s main events.
Instead, all main cards that were previously behind a paywall will now be included with a standard subscription to Paramount+.
“Beginning in 2027, Paramount+ subscribers in Canada will get every UFC Numbered Event main card live, at no additional cost,” White said during the announcement.
“Paramount has been an incredible partner that understands the power of UFC, and together we’re going to make it easier than ever for fans in Canada to watch the biggest fights in the sport. I love Canada and I’m very excited for the fans to be able to enjoy the Paramount experience.”
Niles’ primary complaint was that Canadians were “trapped in an outdated system” that forced them to pay $79.99 for each numbered event. After he called for change, it only took a year into the Paramount+ era before his concerns were addressed.
The UFC has held one event this year so far in Canada this year, where Mike Malott defeated Gilbert Burns at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
