AC Milan are tracking developments at Tottenham Hotspur concerning Tanguy Ndombele, and are interested in a potential low-cost move to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
AC Milan eye Tottenham’s Ndombele or Aston Villa’s Luiz in low-cost deal
Serie A champions AC Milan are interested in taking Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele or Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa to Italy in the final month of the transfer window. That’s according to Corriere della Serra, who list the duo as luxury extras for the Rossoneri.

San Siro chiefs are also weighing up an onerous loan deal for Spurs’ £14.5m arrival from FC Metz last summer, Pape Matar Sarr. The move could also feature an option to buy, having just missed out to Chelsea for the £20m transfer of Aston Villa gem Carney Chukwuemeka.

AC Milan are open to adding to their engine room after just sealing the signing of their top target, Charles De Ketelaere, off Club Brugge for €32m (£26.5m) plus €3m (£2.5m) in add-ons. But the Belgian’s arrival has decimated the budget Stefano Pioli has for further deals.
Rossoneri technical director Paolo Maldini and sporting director Frederic Massara will use what is left in the San Siro accounts to sign a midfielder. Yet AC Milan are only believed to have €8-9m (£6.5-7.5m) left to build a squad that can challenge in the Champions League.

Ndombele and Luiz among Pioli’s possible Rossoneri targets
AC Milan are monitoring Ndombele’s situation at Tottenham, and also have an interest in Luiz possibly joining from Aston Villa. But Pioli will likely only welcome one to the Serie A champions this summer. While the funds Maldini and Massara have could be problematic.
Tottenham have already rejected one loan offer for Ndombele after Galatasaray stepped up their interest, per Fanatik. The Super Lig outfit sought a loan-to-buy agreement, and intend to hold a fresh round of discussions with Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici this week.
Loan-to-buy deals are the flavour of the month for Ndombele leaving Tottenham, it seems, as Roma Giallorossa also claim Roma are also interested in a possible move. It comes after Mundo Deportivo reported Spurs quoted Paris Saint-Germain €38m (£32m) for his transfer.
Tottenham’s asking price for Ndombele is far more than AC Milan would be able to afford. The Rossoneri will likely also struggle to convince Aston Villa to sell, as Planet Sport report a £30m asking price to sell the Brazilian admired by Newcastle United and Antonio Conte.
