Rangers defender George Edmundson is wanted by Ipswich Town, according to a report, after rumours the Gers ace had agreed a three-year deal with an unnamed English side.

According to the Daily Record, the Tractor Boys want to sign the Rangers centre-back permanently this summer after he fell out of the picture at Ibrox.
Edmundson was one of a number of players suspended for breaching Covid rules earlier this year before being shipped out on loan and joining Derby County.
The Record have also claimed that the Rams want to sign Edmundson on loan from Rangers again this season after being impressed with his performances last season as they avoided relegation to League One.
The interest in Edmundson comes as Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony admitted his side were no longer interested in signing the ex-Oldham star.
Rangers could have a big decision on their hands over Edmundson’s future
With Edmundson’s Rangers days looking numbered, the Gers may well have a big decision on their hands very soon.

If the Light Blues can move him on permanently it would almost certainly be the preferred option but a season at Derby could give him a platform to revive his Rangers career.
Competition from Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Fil Helander, Jack Simpson and Niko Katic mean an exit is inevitable for Edmundson – it is just down to whether he goes temporarily or permanently.
