Tristan Thompson wants to help LeBron James and Drake settle their beef

Tristan Thompson shares a close relationship with both LeBron James and hip-hop icon Drake, and wants to help them mend fences.

Drake and LeBron James shared a close friendship for many years. However, over the last few years, amid Drake’s publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar, their friendship has suffered a great deal.

Since then, Drake has taken very public shots at LeBron James. However, LeBron’s former teammate and Canadian basketball star Tristan Thompson wants to help them put their issues behind them.

Tristan Thompson would ‘love to’ help Drake and LeBron James repair their friendship

While speaking with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast, former NBA champion Tristan Thompson spoke about the relationship he shares with Drake.

Thompson lavished praise on Drake, and admitted that he wants to try and help him reconnect with LeBron James.

“We come with a chip on our shoulders. Obviously, Drake has led the way in the music and entertainment industry, doing his thing. Hip hop needed him. You see that he dropped three albums… I would love to (help fix the relationship). I’m trying.”

The issues emerged when LeBron James attended Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert in Los Angeles, which was a show built around many of the songs he made aimed at Drake.

Lamar, who is also a Los Angeles native, hosted some of the biggest names from the city, including NBA stars like Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, and Kawhi Leonard.

However, it was the presence of LeBron James, someone who had been close friends with Drake for years, that upset the Six God.

Drake has taken several shots at LeBron James in recent weeks

The past few years have seen Drake take aim at a lot of people for supposedly picking sides during the feud and not siding with him.

In his recent projects, Drake has taken several shots at LeBron James, including in his most recent album, Iceman.

For someone who has been a fan of the NBA for so many years, not to mention a fan of LeBron James, Drake felt betrayed by LeBron seemingly picking sides.

For the most part, James has not come out and said anything outwardly negative about Drake, suggesting that he would be open to mending fences with him, but that he didn’t see them as adversarial to each other.
