Tottenham Hotspur fans might get a lot of stick for their club not winning much in recent times.
But you can’t argue that they have had some serious talent and performers don their colours during that period.
In many cases, you have to wonder how Tottenham didn’t win a trophy, with their best moments coming under Mauricio Pochettino, including reaching the Champions League final.
Unfortunately for Spurs fans, many of those players have left, with Son Heung-min being the only real superstar remaining from those years under Pochettino.
For some players, such as Harry Kane, he is now breaking records at Bayern Munich, whilst Kyle Walker can’t stop winning trophies at Manchester City and Christian Eriksen has picked up two trophies since joining Manchester United.

But one man’s rise and fall has been difficult to watch – and that’s Dele Alli.
The 28-year-old, who hasn’t played in the Premier League since August 2022, is still officially an Everton player but his contract expires at the end of June.
Alli’s struggles in recent times have been well-documented after he left Tottenham during the January transfer window of 2022 to move to Goodison Park.
Trent Alexander-Arnold was asked who has been the toughest player in England training, with the team currently competing at Euro 2024 in Germany.
Whilst Jude Bellingham named ex-Spurs man Kyle Walker, the Liverpool right-back put forward the name of Dele and how he was ‘untouchable’ back then, as he told England’s official YouTube channel.
Dele Alli in England training
“I would say Dele (Alli),” responded Alexander-Arnold on who has been the toughest in England training.
“My first few camps, when I was younger, and he was at the top of his game at that time. He was untouchable.”

Dele Alli at Tottenham Hotspur
A player of incredible goalscoring ability. Someone who made football look easy and could score goals like he had a Playstation controller in his hands.
Dele was truly unstoppable during his time at Spurs and exactly how Bellingham is viewed now, he was probably regarded in higher terms on the Premier League stage.

A manager like Ange Postecoglou would love to have a prime Dele on his doorstep now because he would easily score 15 goals from the middle of the park.
But those days are long gone and the player in question just needs to get back on the field and prove that he is still worthy of playing on English football’s biggest stage.
