According to The Athletic, Alexis Mac Allister is open to leaving Brighton and Hove Albion, amid interest from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Graham Potter’s Chelsea.
Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea target Alexis Mac Allister open to Brighton exit
The report published this morning has claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Mac Allister from Premier League rivals Brighton in the January transfer window.
The midfielder, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, ‘would consider leaving Brighton if the deal is right’, according to the report.
Chelsea, whose transfer dealings are being led by co-owner Todd Boehly, reportedly value the 24-year-old at around £35m-£40m.
Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with Mac Allister.

On December 19, AS reported that Arsenal and Atletico Madrid have shown interest in signing Mac Allister, described as “unbelievable” and “exceptional” by former Tottenham player Jamie O’Hara on talkSPORT (8:35am, December 19, 2022).
CMW claimed in December that Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has given ‘a mandate to his management to push on the accelerator’ and get a deal done for Mac Allister before his former clubs Inter Milan and Juventus.
Italian outlet L’Interista had earlier claimed that Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Inter all are in the race to sign the Brighton star.
Encouraging
In our opinion, Alexis Mac Allister being open to leaving Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window is very encouraging for Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Now, Brighton and Hove Albion may not want to sell the Argentine star in the middle of the season, but if he himself wants to leave and gets a good offer, then it is going to be hard for the Seagulls to keep hold of him.
