Graham Potter’s Chelsea could make a bid of €60 million (£53 million) for Inter Milan wing-back Denzel Dumfries, a player Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur also want to sign, according to Sportitalia.
Chelsea could bid for Tottenham Hotspur target Denzel Dumfries
The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Inter could ask for €60 million (£53 million) for Dumfries, who can operate as a right wing-back, winger or right-back.
That price would not be an issue for Chelsea and their co-owner Todd Boehly.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are planning to make a bid for the Netherlands international, according to the report.
Blow for Spurs
This latest development on the situation of Dumfries, who played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, will come as a blow for Chelsea’s London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s because Tottenham are also reported to be keen on the 26-year-old.
90min claimed this month that Tottenham are keen on Dumfries as well and have already made contact in regard to a move for him in 2023.
Football.London have claimed that Tottenham’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, personally likes the wing-back and wants him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
However, it seems that Chelsea are determined to sign Dumfries, and we do not think that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will be willing to – or able to – rival a bid from the Blues for the Dutchman.
