Rio Ferdinand has said that Tottenham Hotspur target Victor Osimhen has been better than Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford this season.
It has been reported that Osimhen is viewed as the perfect successor to Harry Kane, who could be on his way out in the summer.
Victor Osimhen has been ‘unstoppable’ this campaign, with 23 combined goals in Serie A and the Champions League up until now for Napoli.
Despite being a Manchester United legend and avid fan, Rio Ferdinand has said that Tottenham target Victor Osimhen is currently better than Marcus Rashford.
Rio Ferdinand says Victor Osimhen is better than Marcus Rashford on current form
While it has been claimed that if Spurs bring in either Mauricio Pochettino or Thomas Tuchel, Harry Kane could end up staying, logic dictates that he is bound to leave his boyhood club.
If Tottenham do end up signing the £107 million-rated Victor Osimhen, Rio Ferdinand thinks they could bring in a forward in better form than Marcus Rashford.

“Splitting hairs again. There ain’t much in it. It’s hard.”
“Osimhen then. Over the season, you have to say Osimhen probably”, he said on the FIVE YouTube channel.
Tottenham should go hell for leather to sign the Napoli striker
While only time will tell if Victor Osimhen even signs for Tottenham, it is exciting that Rio Ferdinand is currently a bigger admirer of his than Marcus Rashford.
The 24-year-old goalscorer has also recently admitted that his ‘dream’ is to play in the Premier League one day, which heightens the possibility of his chances of leaving Naples for England, and even potentially London.
As Osimhen even showcased with his stunning brace in Napoli’s 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt, he is born to score goals and would perhaps be one of the select few marksmen capable of filling in Kane’s boots.
