Tottenham Hotspur continue talks for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez – and a move could rumble on until the final stages of deadline day.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who claim that Nandez wants to leave Cagliari before the transfer window slams shut.
Tottenham are ‘working to to find an agreement’, and it’s added that this could be a ‘last-day market deal’, suggesting the situation could rumble on for another six days.
La Nuova Sardegna reported over the weekend that an agreement was in place for Nandez to join Tottenham on loan with an obligation to buy.
That was seemingly jumping the gun slightly, as this report now claims no deal is in place and talks could go on for a while yet.
Nandez even started for Cagliari in their 2-2 draw against Spezia, featuring as a right-sided wing back despite being an ‘inexhaustible‘ midfielder by trade.

Tottenham continue to be linked with a host of midfielders; Joao Palhinha, Houssem Aouar, Weston McKennie and Corentin Tolisso are just some of the names touted of late.
Fabio Paratici loves lining up three or more targets in one position and then deciding which one to go with.
If we had to guess, Nandez is just one option for Tottenham right now, hence the belief that this saga could go on for days yet, with Paratici negotiating for other options at the same time.
