Ahead of the upcoming clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City, Cristian Stellini has said that the club’s coaching staff are fans of Leicester City midfielder, James Maddison.
It has been previously stated that Antonio Conte’s men are ‘one to watch’ in the race for £60 million-rated attacker, with the Foxes reportedly being subject to a summer bid from Newcastle United.
Now, it seems Tottenham are ready to compete with Eddie Howe’s side to bring in Leicester City’s James Maddison, as Cristian Stellini has admitted that their coaching staff are admirers of his.

Ultimately, the Magpies will still regard themselves as favourites to land the ‘amazing’ England international, as their project seems to have a higher ceiling than that of the North Londoners.
However, Cristian Stellini has said that the coaching staff at Tottenham rate midfield target James Maddison highly.
“We [Tottenham Hotspur’s coaching staff] like [James] Maddison as a player. He is an important player in this league, a player with an important type of skill, like his delivery, his cross, his right foot is a very important foot so he shoots, he crosses, he takes set-pieces”, Stellini was quoted saying by Football.London.

He continued, “He is a player you have to take care of. When you play against this player, you have to be careful. “When you feel how important is this type of skill, for sure you like this type of player. He’s a player with talent. At the moment he’s playing for Leicester, a team we play against. We take care of him like an opponent.”
Well, while Tottenham, the coaching staff and Cristian Stellini seem to be assessing the pros of signing a ‘top player’ like James Maddison in the summer, double Newcastle in their race at your own peril.
