Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in the summer transfer window with the North London club keen to break into the Champions League places.

Ange Postecoglou was keen to announce a deal for Yang Min-Hyeok, whilst the Lilywhites have also signed Archie Gray and Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

With just over two weeks before the season starts, here is the latest news coming out of North London.

Emerson Royal

Starting off with the potential departure of Brazilian right-back Emerson Royal who has been heavily linked with a move to AC Milan.

With Pedro Porro making that spot his own under Postecoglou, Royal has been limited to a bit-part role at Spurs and has mainly featured as a left-back under the Australian.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, tomorrow could be a key day to get the deal over the line with just £1 million separating the two clubs.

There is said to be a meeting between the two clubs with an agreement for Royal ‘one step away’.

Conor Gallagher

HITC has reported that Tottenham were keen on Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher but it is Atletico Madrid who have stolen a march.

We have reported that Atletico have opened talks to sign Gallagher, the Chelsea academy graduate, as they look to beat Tottenham and Aston Villa to a deal.

Gallagher was understood to want a new deal at Stamford Bridge but there is no sense that this will happen.

Therefore, a summer move looks to be on the cards with the Englishman having just a year left on his deal.

Federico Chiesa

The transfer that certainly looks to be the most likely possibility for the Lilywhites at this moment in time is Italian Federico Chiesa.

HITC has reported that Chiesa was set for talks with Thiago Motta amid interest from Tottenham and Newcastle United.

Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani has, according to Corriere Dello Sport, travelled to England as AS Roma and Napoli are no longer contenders whilst TuttoMercatoWeb claims that Juve want around £20 million for the winger.

Spurs reportedly consider this a bargain this summer and a deal could well be in the pipeline.

Michael Kayode

If AC Milan pull off a deal to sign Royal, perhaps the Lilywhites will turn their attention to Fiorentina right-back Michael Kayode.

HITC reported that Aston Villa had opened talks to sign Kayode but Spurs are also one of the sides interested.

Corriere Dello Sport, via Sport Witness, claims that Fiorentina would allow the right-back to leave the club for just £17 million.

The full-back has been hailed as extraordinary for defending so well against Khvicha Kvaratshkelia and he could be a decent option for the Lilywhites.
