HITC can confirm that Newcastle United and Tottenham target Federico Chiesa is set for talks with Juventus head coach Thiago Motta.

The 26-year-old winger is set to discuss his future with Motta early this week amid interest from several clubs.

Juventus have been locked in talks with Federico Chiesa about a new contract with his current deal in Turin set to expire in 2025.

Sources have confirmed to HITC that the current offer on the table to Chiesa is below his expectations.

If a new deal for Chiesa is not agreed, then Juventus have informed him and his party that they would look to sell him this summer.

However, before agreeing a deal elsewhere, Chiesa wanted to hold talks with Motta after he was appointed as manager this summer.

The talks with Motta are expected to give a clear indication to the interested parties of whether Chiesa will be moving this summer or not. Clubs understand there is a chance Chiesa stays and leaves for free next summer.

Newcastle United and Tottenham among Premier League suitors

With Chiesa’s Juventus future in doubt, it has put a number of Premier League clubs on alert for the Italy international.

As revealed by HITC earlier this month, Newcastle United and Tottenham have both held talks with Chiesa‘s representatives over a move.

However, Premier League rivals Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa have also shown an interest.

Chelsea and Liverpool were both in attendance for the Coppa Italia final where scouts had their eyes on Chiesa in action.

Chiesa also has the option of staying in Serie A with talks held with Roma and Napoli. The Saudi Pro League is also an option.

If Chiesa’s talks with Motta result in all parties agreeing to a summer sale, HITC understands that Juventus would accept a bid of less than £30million.
