Darren Bent does not see any real desire from Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United. He will also sign a new contract with Mauricio Pochettino as manager.
The Argentine has emerged as a candidate to replace Antonio Conte in charge of the north London outfit this summer. Spurs are exploring their options for the future with the Italian out of contract in June. It is very unlikely that the 53-year-old will agree to any new terms.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is the main voice backing Pochettino to return to the club four years after sacking him. Dean Jones claims the Spurs chief is open to the 51-year-old’s return. But managing director Fabio Paratici is in charge of finding the successor for Conte.

Bent believes Pochettino returning will convince Kane to sign a new contract
Bent believes Paratici would be wise to agree with Levy and appoint Pochettino as the new Tottenham manager if Kane is to sign a new contract at the club. The former Spurs forward also believes the striker is not yearning to leave north London in the next transfer window.
“I feel like we’ve been here before with Harry Kane,” Bent told talkSPORT. “I don’t really see a burning ambition to leave.
“He did that whole Man City thing. Maybe he conducted himself in the wrong way, and it’s not been spoken about since.
“If Pochettino goes back to Spurs, I think Kane signs a new contract.”

Are Tottenham in talks with his agent to fend off interest in a transfer?
Reports by The Athletic note that Tottenham are ready to do whatever it takes to get Kane to sign a new contract. Spurs are also willing to offer the England captain an improved deal and have opened preliminary talks with the striker’s representatives to discuss a new deal.
Kane is currently set to enter the final year of his £200k-a-week deal this July. His situation has piqued the interest of teams in England and abroad having also scored 22 goals in 38 games this season. But Bent believes the 29-year-old wants to remain at Spurs long-term.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed in February 2022 that the Citizens had bid for Kane’s transfer in 2021. But the Catalan revealed, via the Daily Mail, that they refused to pay the £150m that Levy had demanded. Even though Kane wanted to secure the transfer.

Now, Manchester United are moving to potentially secure Kane’s transfer from Tottenham in 2023. The Manchester Evening News reports that Old Trafford chiefs have identified the 80-cap England ace as a primary target to afford manager Erik ten Hag a new leading striker.
But The Telegraph reports Levy will demand £100m to sell Kane, despite his contract with Tottenham expiring in 2024. Spurs may reduce their asking price for foreign clubs, as well. Yet 90min note Bayern Munich accept they cannot seal a deal for a desired €50m (£44m).
