Clinton Morrison has told Sky Sports that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks should leave in the January transfer window.

The former Crystal Palace forward has praised Winks, and has said that he is a very good and intelligent footballer.

The Tottenham-supporting Sky Sports pundit believes that if the 25-year-old is not playing for Spurs, then he needs to leave in January.

Morrison told Sky Sports: “100% he needs a move because you know what, you look at it, Hojbjerg always plays in there, Skipp, the young Skipp went on loan to Norwich, he has come back and he has done ever so well, now he is a regular. Them two are playing in holding midfield.”

The Sky Sports pundit added: “He is a lovely footballer to watch on the eye, he gets the ball, he wants to make things happen. He is a good footballer, he is really good, he is an intelligent footballer.”

Harry Winks needs to leave Tottenham Hotspur

Winks has come through the Tottenham academy and has played over 100 Premier League games for the first team.

However, in our view, the midfielder should leave in January, maybe on loan.

The Tottenham no. 8 is struggling for playing time under head coach Nuno at the moment.

Winks is essentially part of the Tottenham B team.

That is no good for a midfielder who is still only 25 and has played 10 times for England.

The Sun reported this month that Newcastle United are interested in Winks.

A move to St. James’ Park, even on loan for the second half of the season, would be a good idea for Winks.
