Fenerbahce are keen to hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential summer transfer for unwanted midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to A Spor.
Yellow Canaries manager Vitor Pereira has provided the Estadio Sukru Saracoglu hierarchy with a list of late-window targets. He believes the Super Lig outfit’s pre-season fixtures and training has shown a number of shortcomings that must be addressed.
Fenerbahce are looking to build on a third-place Super Lig finish last season and changed coach in attempt to gain ground on rivals Besiktas and Galatasaray. Pereira now wants new faces brought in to cover several issues in his new squad.

Pereira wants Fenerbahce to strengthen his full-back and striker options, and has eyes on Tottenham’s Sissoko to bolster central midfielder. The Yellow Canaries are ready to back their new manager’s position and plan to hold talks with Spurs imminently.
Reports by The Times last month noted Sissoko could follow Toby Alderweireld in quitting Tottenham for a Middle East outfit. But Fabrizio Romano added last week that Spurs are yet to receive any approaches for the Frenchman signed from Newcastle for £30m in 2016.
Now, Turkey may be Sissoko’s destination with Fenerbahce keen on signing the Tottenham midfielder before their Super Lig season begins. The Istanbul outfit kick their campaign off at Demirspor on Sunday, before the first-leg of their Europa League play-off next Thursday.
Tottenham can let Sissoko join Fenerbahce
Tottenham would risk upsetting Tanguy Ndombele by sending Sissoko to Fenerbahce this summer. Football.london report Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici’s plans to part with the midfielder and Serge Aurier have disappointed him, as he is close friends with the pair.
But Nuno, Paratici and Chairman Daniel Levy cannot be sentimental on the basis of what Sissoko previously offered. The £80,000-per-week ace started 15 Premier League games last season and played 35 minutes at Euro 2020. Even if Didier Deschamps was a big fan.
“I like Moussa Sissoko. He is not my ‘favourite’, I appreciate what he does,” Deschamps once said, via talkSPORT. “Moussa, he is the prototype of a soldier. He does not complain.
“Whether he starts the match or comes on after two minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, he gets into the match. He gives, he gives. He is very appreciated by his teammates and feared by his opponents.”
