Arsenal are still reportedly keen on raiding Leicester for playmaker Youri Tielemans this summer, with his contract ending in 2023 – and Tottenham could hand them a huge boost, by selling Harry Winks.

Tielemans, 25, is likely to leave in the coming weeks after entering the final year of his deal. Reports claim that Arsenal have ‘made inroads’ in a move to sign Belgium international Tielemans, for a fee of £30million.

The Gunners could do with another midfielder. Fabio Vieira has come in, but there are doubts over the ability of Albert Sambi Lokonga. Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Lucas Torreira are expected to leave in the coming weeks.

It leaves Arsenal with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey at the base of the midfield. So, Tielemans would ease that. They could now find that Tottenham may hand them a huge boost in their pursuit of the ex-Monaco man.

Tielemans, at one point, was also being linked with Tottenham – but Spurs have decided to sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton, instead. It leaves Arsenal in pole position to sign the midfielder.

But even more so, if Tottenham sell Winks and more specifically, to Leicester. Mail journalist Sami Mobkel claims Leicester are keen on Winks, while Everton have pulled out of a deal after Frank Lampard performed due diligence.

So, with Leicester keen to sign Winks, a similar player to the position Tielemans has been playing in at the base of the midfield – surely, Spurs can help Arsenal sign Tielemans by offloading Winks to the King Power.
