Liverpool may be one of the best teams in the world, but that hasn’t stopped them from bedding young players into their squad in recent years.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is already an absolute superstar, while Harvey Elliott, Tyler Morton and Curtis Jones are quickly establishing themselves in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.

Liverpool may already have a number of young stars, but when your academy has produced the likes of Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler, it’s never going to be long before the next star is coming through.

So, we’re going to look at three young Reds who could make a splash in 2022.

Kaide Gordon

The 17-year-old has already made his first-team debut, and he’s on track to become an absolute gem for Klopp.

The manager and a number of senior players were reportedly very impressed by this young winger in pre-season, while fans are already expecting big things from him.

Of course, at 17, you can’t make too many lofty predictions, but with the African Cup of Nations coming up, this winger could get the odd chance here and there in the first-team.

Mateusz Musialowski

Liverpool supporters may already be rather familiar with Mateusz Musialowski’s talent.

Indeed, Musialowski made waves on social media last season for his incredible solo goal vs Newcastle for the U18s, and he was eventually awarded the U18 Goal of the Season award for that strike.

Since then, he’s only gone from strength to strength. The youngster is another one who has reportedly caught Klopp’s eye, and it’s not hard to understand why.

He’s been receiving praise from fans on almost a weekly basis for his performances at PL2 level, and at the age of just 18, the Pole looks ready to make the step up soon.

Elijah Dixon-Bonner

Another who has already played in the Liverpool first-team, this young midfielder looks like a fantastic talent.

Described as a ‘very creative player’ on Liverpool’s official website, Dixon-Bonner has also been on the books at Arsenal.

Much like Jude Bellingham, Dixon-Bonner has previously captained England at youth level, being a former U16 captain, while he was also a part of the Liverpool side that won the FA Youth Cup final in 2019.

This season, he’s the U23s’ top scorer, and with Elliott, Jones and Morton getting a chance in the midfield lately, Dixon-Bonner could be next in line.
