Arsenal secured a massive win against Manchester United this weekend, with Granit Xhaka’s thunderbolt the highlight of a 3-1 result against the Red Devils at the Emirates Stadium.

The Swiss international is not known for his goals, yet Xhaka’s screamer against United was one of Arsenal’s strikes of the season, and also continued an unusual record set by the 29-year-old midfielder.

Xhaka now has three goals against United since joining Arsenal, more than any other club and a tally which makes up a decent amount of the 14 the former Bundesliga star has scored in all competitions as a Gooner.

With such an interesting record, we look at three other players in the Premier League who also have a knack for scoring against one side in particular, and how much an effect these trends have on the career of a certain name.

Luis Suarez only ever played six matches against Norwich City, but the former Liverpool star was a terror whenever the Uruguayan international laced up for the Reds against the Premier League minnows.

The striker’s four-goal romp against Norwich in the 2013/14 season was one of the best individual performances of the year, and two more hat-tricks in previous campaigns make Suarez a true nightmare for many Norwich fans to this very day.

Didier Drogba vs. Arsenal – Apps: 15. Goals: 13

If there’s one player that will send shivers down the spines of Arsenal players, it’s Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, whose record against the Gunners is one of the most notorious in the Premier League.

13 goals in 15 appearances is a sensational return for the Ivory Coast icon, and with huge strikes against the Gunners in the FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield, Drogba alone played a huge role in Arsenal’s nine-year wait for a trophy.

Sergio Aguero vs. Chelsea – Apps: 19, Goals: 15

Sergio Aguero’s record as the highest-scoring non-British player in Premier League history will take some beating, and the Argentine’s record against Chelsea played a huge role in the Manchester City legend’s icon status in England.

Scoring in over half the matches he has ever faced the Blues in his entire career, Aguero was a demon whenever playing the west London side, with the striker bagging two hat-tricks against Chelsea and dooming the Premier League giants to countless defeats and setbacks.
