Taking a closer look at Liverpool’s brightest teenage prospects.

Liverpool have a whole host of exciting prospects coming through the ranks right now but only the very best will ultimately become first-team regulars.

Here we take a look at the Liverpool teenagers who should be playing week in, week out by 2020:

Liverpool's Ben Woodburn shoots at goal

Ben Woodburn

Arguably the cream of the crop when it comes to Liverpool’s next generation, Ben Woodburn is already making waves at senior level.

That said, he is some way off being one of the first names on the team sheet and the 17-year-old will hope to hone his skills over the next few years before becoming a regular by his twentieth birthday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

With maturity beyond his years, Trent Alexander-Arnold could be the best defender Liverpool have produced for a decade.

The 18-year-old right-back already has seven senior appearances under his belt but it may take the sale of Nathaniel Clyne for him to really kick on.

Liverpool's Ivie Ejaria in action with Tranmere's Connor Jennings

Ovie Ejaria

The centre of the park is an area Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will surely look to improve in the next few transfer windows, with the jury out on Emre Can and Lucas Leiva edging towards the exit, but when it comes to young midfielders, Ovie Ejaria is the real deal.

The 19-year-old is equally comfortable in an advanced role, as a central midfielder or on the left wing, and that versatility, along with his innate talent, marks him out as a future first-team star.
