‘The most difficult ever’: Jose Enrique makes Tottenham & Arsenal transfer claim

Jose Enrique thinks the following Premier League campaign will ‘the most difficult ever’ after praising Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal for their transfer business, as he posted on his Instagram story.

The former Liverpool left-back claimed that ‘Tottenham look like they mean business’, whilst he added that ‘Arsenal have got stronger’ this summer.

Spurs pipped their north London rivals to Champions League football last time out and they have both come out all guns blazing this summer.

In previous years, Arsenal fans may have questioned those in the boardroom for slow transfer business or Spurs supporters would have been critical of Daniel Levy for lacking ambition, but not this time around.

More is probably still to come with just over a month left before the window slams shut, as Enrique made this claim about those Champions League-chasing teams.

“Tottenham look like they mean business this transfer window,” said Enrique. “I believe this is going to be the most difficult Premier League ever.

“Arsenal got stronger. Chelsea got stronger. United will get stronger. Really looking forward to this season. Up the Reds.”

WHO HAS HAD THE BETTER WINDOW – TOTTENHAM OR ARSENAL?

Other than needing a creative midfielder, Spurs have probably ticked most boxes regarding the areas they needed to fill this summer.

The same could probably be said for Arsenal, who are now looking for that added depth, such as letting fringe players or unwanted players leave and then filling those spaces.

The main aim for Mikel Arteta was to find that number nine and he has arrived in the shape of Gabriel Jesus, who has probably been Arsenal’s best purchase.

Will Spurs point towards the free transfer of Ivan Perisic? Or the £25 million signing of Yves Bissouma, who many top teams that are in the Premier League would have happily taken on board?

Either way, one of those fanbases will be laughing and celebrating come May next year because not much will probably separate the two teams again next term.
